Motorcycle Question (more like a debate in my mind)?
If I did have the money to drop into a motorcycle, which would be more respectable?
"Dump that money into a hog that weighs more than a mid-size car ,half the size of a Diesel so that way if you crash, you may have a better chance to live" - Crazy Grandfather
or
"Spend it on a Trike that has good gas mileage, wide/long enough for you and one other person and just have a good time" - My Father
Though about this as a....future plan (only 18.5 years old) and i like bikes. Not enough to know what the difference is between certian brand names of bikes.
I just know that in the future, I want to own one and need some feedback from some people...
Thanks
First off, if you crash on a bike, it's not the bike that's going to save you. You are going to leave the bike guaranteed. It's the protective clothing (boots, pants, jacket, gloves and helmet) that you wear and making sure to take all the required and extra safety courses that's going to save you. A trike will burn more gas than a standard bike will. The motor has to turn the rear end and larger wheels and tires.
Choosing a bike all depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Either way being a teenager, the best thing to do is to get in the class and learn about bikes. Assuming you have a drivers license you can take courses that have bikes and helmets available for you to use. This way you can try the bike and get a feel for it. Go for a standard bike at first and learn how to ride and to get the feel for it. Both Hogs and trikes have non typical configurations and require some expertise to handle.
Good Luck with whichever way you go.
